Workstation Assessment

Businesses are responsible for ensuring the safety of both office workstations and home workstations when employees work from home. Poor workstations can create injury and low productivity, as well as potential fines or penalties if the employer is found to be non-compliant.
An ergonomic workstation is the process or science of designing a workplace or workstation with the employee’s needs in mind. Workplace ergonomics considers the design of the overall workplace and working environment, while workstation ergonomics considers the individual needs of each worker.
SMC comes to your workplace to conduct workstation assessments and assist your workers in performing their tasks ergonomically. We can also conduct an audit via video. We will produce recommendations to ensure your workers are safe and help your business remain or become WorkSafe compliant.
The assessment includes desk height, chairs, placement of equipment, etc.
